One of the things that improves a faction's replayability especially for new LL's is the buffs that certain lords and heroes can give to specific units so you can make fun, themed armies. Disciplined is okay at the start, when you have melee infantry. My issue is that faction specific traits are objectively worse than currently existing traits in warhammer 3 in literally every way. Only Damsels in Bretonnian roster got access to generic traits, Lords, Prophetesses and Paladins got unique Bretonnian traits (and btw, Prophetesses just got Chivalry slapped on top of generic WH1 traits, some of those still have negative effects). The only place where traits like this make sense is in a faction like High Elves where you need to spend more influence for better traits, but for other factions, where they are just random traits, they should all be on equal power level.
